Great steak and cheese sub and cheese sticks! Cool little place. Service is sub par but seems to be because of lack of workers. A little expensive but worth it. Though I asked if I could get the hot peppers that go on the steak and cheese on the side and was charged 75cents. I asked why and they told me for the hassle. I thought they were joking and had made a mistake but they weren't . Told me to pick them off if I didn't want to pay the 75 cents. Found that a little crazy . But still would recommend the place.

Amazing food! Fast, friendly service. I've been eating at The Hero House 30 years and nothing has changed. Definitely worth the wait with everyone ordering take out these days.

New to the Wooster area and people were talking this place up so I had to check it out. I went with the cheese steak because people said it was the best. Ultimately it was fine. I've had better and worse. The inside of the place was very much like most small town diners except dirty. It was dirty pretty much everywhere I looked from sticky tables to black dust from the vents on the ceiling. So again the food was fine, nothing to write home about, but what will keep me from coming back was the condition of the place.

Best subs in the state!! Super messy but that's the best part!! Fully stuffed and so damn good. Kid friendly as well, their chicken tender and crinkle fries are delish!! People are super friendly as well!!

Tried the cheeseburger sub and it was not good at all. The burger was overdone and tasted like leather. It was piled high with lettuce , onions and peppers which were all fresh and good. Also, I had great customer service. Not sure who the guy was that waited on me but he was really friendly and nice. I have always loved their cheese steak but decided to try something new. I'm thinking it was just this sandwich but I won't be getting it again.

One of the best places to go to get subs in the area, probably in the state. If you want a huge, cheap, delicious sub, then go here. A 15 inch is $15. You can't beat that kind of deal for how loaded the subs are.

We've been here twice and have found the staff friendly. The hot subs are delicious, with generous portions of meat, cheese and veggies. We like the buns too. The 6 inch is plenty for a meal and not expensive. We order when we get here and take out. If it's busy we wait a while. Interesting retro feel.

The food is great, but some of the ladies here can be a little gruff. I had a take out order and went to pick it up inside. Lady told me that I needed to let them know that I was paying inside instead of at the window. She acted like I was really putting her out. They're cranky, but like I said, the food is great. Just adds to the charm I guess.

This place is amazing. The owners are super friendly and just so pleasant. And if you like cheese steak subs you will love this place.

Delicious food! But, I have to say the owner(female) needs to brush up on her manners. She has been very short and rude in the past and I have let it go. Not today!! Will not be taking my business here anymore. Does she not realize that customers keep her in business?? Shame on you!

Great local business who always aims to please.... Yes it might cost a little more. But you'll be feed for 2 meal. Get it for dinner have enough for lunch.

Tried to order at 745 on may 9th and the guy answered the phone and said we close at 9 for mothers day and to have a good evening and was not taking any orders. If your open until 9 how in the hell can you shut down that early. Probably the last ten I ever order from you guys

Best hot subs around! The messier they are better they taste. A little whole in the wall family owned place that's been around since the 70's. One of a kind. You'll be back once you try it.

If you are in Wooster and have never tried this you have to!! Must visit for sure. The subs are amazing and they have fair style fries! My favorite sub is the cheese steak deluxe! The mushroom steak is also delicious!

You can't go wrong with any sandwich they make. I'm not a vegetarian, but their vegetarian sub is amazing! I actually have my parents bring me a sub from here when they pick me up from the airport.

This is one of my all time places to eat. I grew up around Wooster and my family ate here a lot. Always a place for me to stop. Everything is good. No other place like.

Food is great, but they hold paychecks from their employee's. Isn't that illegal?!? YES IT IS!!! Don't eat here they don't pay their employee's for hours worked!
